About Ministrymaker University
Originally formed as a church corporation in 1989, Ministrymaker Ministries developed into an online church planting, leadership training, and ministry support site in 2001.
Ministrymaker University, an outreach of Ministrymaker Ministries, was developed to provide ministry training and advanced theological degrees for those with the call of God on their life. It is our desire to help develop the ministry skills people need to walk in their God-given calling.
Hebrews 5:4 – “No man takes this honor to himself, but he who is called of God.”
Our Philosophy
MMU is an accredited bible college and seminary which is spirit-filled, charismatic and trinitarian. We know this covers a wide range of churches, denominations, and movements. By this, we basically mean that we believe in the fullness of the Spirit and that all of the gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit are for today.
Many take the position that the fivefold ministry (Ephesians 4:11) and the manifestations of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) passed away with the original twelve apostles and the completion of scripture. We believe all of the Bible and that these gifts are still present within the church.
Ministrymaker University is experientially and doctrinally balanced, rejecting most extremes. However, as with most extremes, there is usually an element of truth. The problem is with man, not with God, or what the Holy Spirit is wanting to emphasize. What typically happens is there is a move of the Holy Spirit in the church. People get excited and take the truth to a far extreme, which becomes error. When attempting to correct the error, they take it to the other extreme, which is also error. Biblical balance is usually found somewhere in the middle.
MMU seeks to be doctrinally balanced and sound in all our teachings. “The time will (and has) come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires” (2 Timothy 4:3). In a day of itching ears, we train our students to “teach the things which are fitting for sound doctrine” (Titus 2:1).

Our Vision
The mission of Ministrymaker University is to provide accredited distance learning training and degrees for those wanting to be involved in ministry, those already in ministry, and those wanting to fine-tune their ministry skills.
Our desire is to help you fulfill your vision and the purpose for which God called you. MMU offers theological training for anyone who feels the call of God, regardless of background, gender, race, or national origin.
Ministrymaker University offers a flat, affordable tuition fee for each degree offered. All classes and credit hours within a degree program are provided with no hidden costs. This does not mean that a student’s degree will not be well earned. Each class will require study, diligence, and commitment on behalf of the student.
A mentor will be assigned to students to give guidance, assist them through their course of study, and encourage the completion of their degree. We hope, when possible, a student’s pastor or overseer in ministry will be able to partner with MMU to help support and encourage the student.
Accreditation
A school is accredited when it has been investigated and found worthy of approval by an accrediting agency. Ministrymaker University is a member of and accredited by the National Bible College Association.
Religious Exemption
Pursuant to Indiana code 21-18.5-2-12, Ministrymaker University meets all of the Indiana state requirements for religious exemption. The Indiana Commission for Higher Education along with the Indiana Board for Proprietary Education has granted Ministrymaker University religious exemption from government requirements of offering secondary and post secondary degrees. This gives MMU the freedom to offer degrees without governmental control or restraint.
Academic Standards
Ministrymaker University is committed and inspired by Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 3:1-2, “Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need, as some others, epistles of commendation to you or letters of commendation from you? You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men.”
Our programs are of the highest quality, and we are committed to continuous improvement in the academic realm. We believe the quality of MMU’s program is evident, and our graduates will be distinguished by their maturity, understanding, and skill in exegetical and expositional disciplines. Likewise, prospective students, or students transferring from other institutions, will be impressed by the academic, spiritual, and theological standards of Ministrymaker University.
